Dialog, as the preferred power solution supplier for Renesas automotive platform, further expands cooperation between the two parties

Beijing, China, August 18, 2020 – Dialog semiconductor AG (DEX: DLG ), a leading supplier of battery management, AC/DC power conversion, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), industrial ICs announced today that it will further expand its collaboration with Renesas Electronics, a leading supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions, to provide power management IC (PMIC) solutions for the Renesas R-Car M3 and R-Car E3 automotive computing platforms.

Building on the partnership with Renesas R-Car Gen 2 and R-Car H3 platforms, Dialog’s power solutions for R-Car M3 and R-Car E3 platforms include DA9063-A system main PMIC and DA9224-A sub PMICs. Each device is precisely configured to meet specific power rail requirements, including voltage levels, peak currents, and power sequencing, providing a “perfect match” power solution.

Dialog’s highly integrated PMIC devices are highly efficient, resulting in the smallest form factor and low BOM cost, while reducing thermal design complexity, a key factor in the harsh temperature environment of automotive systems.
